I need some education when you get a chance @SAR ; I thought that Roundup killed everything but then you could plant right behind it. Obviously I have no clue whatsoever about farming, but could you please explain your process...….that is if it is not proprietary!

No problem at all I'm glad to explain how we do things here.
Roundup does kill just about everything but sometimes we have to throw in a different chemical as we are getting some weeds that are getting resistant to roundup alone, which is what I did on the first pass.
I did spray the corn fields about 2 weeks ago but since the rains came we got a second flush of weeds coming so I have to do a second pass. This will be the last time we go over it and as the corn gets taller and canopies the weeds that come later won't have a chance to compete and the corn shades it out. -
How do you not kill the corn?snowman_w900, ShooterK2, BigBob410 and 9 others Thank this.

I just read a newspaper article from Massachusetts: the mayor of Waltham is letting "people who suffer from substance abuse disorder" know that there has been a spike in overdoses and to "be extra vigilant" that they don't procure any of the toxic dope.
.......
What. The ####. -
I'm sorry I didn't read your first post very well.
The corn has been genetically modified with a resistance gene to roundup and when sprayed will survive and whatever weeds are out there kills them. Corn and soybeans are mostly roundup ready up here and cleans the fields up very well.
