So which would be the better truck. KW or a freightliner?

The best truck is the one you drive.

Well if you're talking Cascadia vs W900, W900.

If you're talking T680 vs FLC, FLC.

I get it. But if a dumb driver only cross chains for a given WLL with 2 chains. It can swing. One chain fails, its going right. Left, which ever. It can cause a spin. They are ok with you dead, not general public. Suicide with 2 chains its going forward or backward till it rolls of the trailer. Still to the side, but less?

On shot gun, you cross two and horse shoe two to four, six. Whatever is needed. If its skinny or shotgun suicide add a hogtie to top and a trip chain. Don't count to wll, but saves your rear end.

Added, don't follow me around. Someone could pick me apart.

Wise words of wisdom. Please listen and follow them like peoples lives depend on it,

The truck will handle different with that load on. Respect it.

But, say I'm hauling a set of 23s loaded suicide. If I throw one straight thru and cross the other two, I've never ever had all three loosen up on me. I'd rather have the coil and rack turn 45 degrees on the trailer than come rolling straight thru my bulkhead! Thats exactly what will happen in a worst case scenario.

Just as your disclaimer said... you may not agree with exactly how I do it, but I do it that way for a reason. I can assure you, my loads will not move regardless.
