Sucks FJ, but I think you are stuck like chuck till Tuesday. Unless Western had no plans of ever really getting you a permit.? Maybe they just expect you to run outlaw like some a the convicts they hire!!

 

The dude I helped learn how to use chains and ratchet binders in like 5 minutes from Western got his permits no problem, lady at the desk told me it was just me of course speaking of ratchet binders I did those 4 on the side in like 10 minutes after using the platform on the other side to hook the chains up and throw them over

 

Then there will be a backlog so maybe they will send the permits Wednesday?

Good thing OSOW pays more huh?

Pays WE more, lol. Easily $3+mi to the truck while FJ is probably getting an extra 2cpm for running it.

 

Christmas and New Year's Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Your 6 major holidays. On Memorial and Labor Day, which always fall on a Monday, you're done by 12 noon the Friday before the holiday...Ohio and Indiana come to mind. In a few other's, the end of the day on Friday you are done.

In quite a few states, they may not have a holiday curfew for OSOW, but the permit office will be closed along with all the rest of the government offices. Confused? Just wait...the rules will change if the load is big enough to need a pilot car. Superload status? Plan on running during the hours that school is in session. Many drivers prefer to either go home or avoid pulling OSOW during these holidays times because they can really mess you week up.
