House remodel in our "new" house, so we can move in.

Axle repair on a trailer I took as payment (it was the only way I was getting paid). A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll put one up later. Then send it to the farm consignment auction down the road.

Repair our trailer I loaned to a "friend" who brought it back torn up. No offer from him to help pay for the repairs, just "Here you go, Thanks."

Finish building a smaller ATV/mower trailer my son started back in high school.

Then I've got some things I want to manufacture and sell, but I still need to try to work out some engineering bugs/ideas.

Yes, Fire Dept is full time. 10, 24 hr shifts per month (0700 to 0700). I have a welding business on the side until I retire (5 1/2 more years), then, who knows. I'll probably keep the weld shop going for the fun money.
Trying not to get in trouble for advertising here, lots of trailer repairs, single axle mower size up to and including 19 axles (most kinds of wind energy trailers, when they were using them around here), campers, livestock, etc. Structural stuff, ornamental iron/blacksmith type stuff, just a job shop type service.
I've done a lot of different things on my days off over the last 24 years. Get bored with one job, gracefully bow out and find something else to do for a while. I've been able to build a fairly diverse skill set over the years, which has served me well.

We have the same problem when we lend out or let people rent our equipment, it always comes back damaged or we got a fix on it. We quit letting people use our stuff because of that.

I quit letting anyone borrow my stuff. Never had anything torn up, but it would come back dirty, and most of the time I had to go get it back. That really pisses me off.

On the rare occasion I need to borrow something, I try to return it better than I got it, if I can.

I've been so frustrated with having to go get my stuff or it coming back not like it left that if there's something I need, I'd just as soon go buy it versus borrowing it. By the time I die, and all my tools and stuff gets left to my son he should never have a need to borrow anything either. Lol

We do to but not very much. What happens in our situation is we have to fix their stuff before we can even use it lol

There's very few people I will loan anything to or borrow from. I let my brother borrow my truck for a couple days a few years while his car was in the shop. 30 minutes before he was going to bring it back, he calls and says I have a problem. I filled the tank and ran it through the car wash and the sun roof broke. The glass was intact but not attached to the frame. I laughed and he felt terrible.
