Here you go... pick me up one while you’re at it. Just drop it off at the house and I’ll pay ya when I see ya
cke, 650cat425, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this. -
Ford kind of had a bailout of sorts too in about 1980. The "park to reverse" transmission problem. They were going to mandate a 23 million vehicle recall but was overturned by Pres. Reagan. Instead, they had to mail out 23 million little warning stickers to stick to the dashboard.
I've written off GM since their 2016 redesign of the Silverado/Sierra. I honestly haven't been a fan of them since 2002 for the Silverado and 2006 for the Sierra. But that LS engine is just such a bulletproof platform. -
I can’t get behind the new look Silverado and Sierra. That front end and grill just scream fugly

She's a looker from here!!
Is the hood supposed to open that far!?
Almost looks hyperextended..
You done good either way. White Lightning is a badxxx too!! Wheeling around in a flat glass w900 is hardly a bad choice!!
As I recall you are a rather tall fella. Does a flattop become less appealing to you over time.?
Shoot, that's what I was thinking too.? $8500 from here sounds good. Maybe he seen something we can't.. -
They haven’t said anything about extra pay; I wasn’t getting at that I’m contemplating about going on ahead anyway without the permit (currently have my feet propped up) and I don’t plan on taking @HillbillyDeluxeTruck ’s advice, but I am grateful for it and anyone else’s who takes the time to respond to any of my questions, even if it’s not what I would do

Ok, ill give it another go. Not trying to admonish you. If I was id be calling you names and acting like a kindergardener. Like some in the past. We are discussing here I hope. ...look at it this way, the permit is really not a money grab, its a permission slip to violate standard weight limits fo a minimal fee.like your CDL is to allow you to operate a truck. Now, if he bootlegs this and gets it delivered without getting caught or worse the bosses will expect this out of him everytime on these loads......they are taking advantage of the driver. If the driver stands his ground on the legalalites (having permits) he accomplishes two things. They won't try and take advantage of him in the future. And he can haul steady freight and keep moving making steady $$$$. Its a win win for the driver. Its a game to them, play the game to win !Last edited: Sep 6, 2020

Great then you don't have an incentive to bootleg it then and take a chance of screwing your future career up !

One of my co-workers at the last place bought a new 2500 with the new 6.6L gas engine. Its a horrible mess of plastic and #### under the hood.
Maybe its just the old school in me but when I open a hood I like seeing the coil wires, the cylinder heads, the manifolds, throttle body etc. That's masculine. I don't want to see a bunch of plastic crap hiding all that. Sissified.cke, 650cat425, PoleCrusher and 7 others Thank this.
