When it's time im gonna have my stock shocks on the bike re-sprung/valved for my weight at 1/3 of the price as fox

 

Fox is subjectively better.

The KING boys are loyal mother####ers tho.

 

Right. The Road King was sold as a premium with low quality parts.

 

My understanding is they were King shocks. Very high quality but made for limited off road use then rebuilt again. Fox at least has some major manufacturers using there products (Ford) nationwide now. I’m sure they are learning about corrosion now.

the parts to rebuild are inexpensive and readily available.

 

My real reasoning is if I have a affordable set of rebuildable shocks, I have a H/S buddy with a shock shop to service them. Instead of spending 65 bucks a piece every 7 months.

 

Probably need 3.0’s? My guess is about $550 each and maybe $50 a year in parts? Maybe a $300 valving kit one time to get them how you want them?

 

Yep. One of the issues at least.
