    Yeah not garbage them sucker's are pricey. Worth it, the shallow depth of those in a framing assembly can be worth it not buying 2x as many in 2x12 and making jobsite laminated beams...

    Question about replacing a speed sensor. How far do you screw it out after it bottoms out? It's a 2 wire type. Does it matter which way the wires hook up or do you just connect them & it should work?

    For your tach? I always make sure the threads are clean, bottom it out with my finger, then back it out 1 revolution or 1 thread. 2 threads shouldn’t hurt a thing actually.....

    I’d do it the same way.....

    Speedometer picks up off a toothed collar, tack picks up off the teeth of the flywheel. At least on my setup, and both mine are electronic....

    I did a quick search, & what I gather from reading, not doing mind you, is the 2 wire setup the wires can be connected either way..

    Yep, one turn will do it....dont over tighten the jam nut you can break the threaded shaft if you over tighten.
