Glad to see she's still working there. Last time through we had her pushing the envelope at last call, and she was late closing down. But boy she made a killing in tips that night.

I could have framed my question better and asked if that's what WE offered for starting pay. Rather than if it was his pay.
650cat425, Eldiablo, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this. -
You taking what I said another way. Its ok to ask what a company starts their drivers at. That is fine. But to ask a hired hand how much they are being paid is less than respectful. If he offers the info to you, its on his terms.
As a man making a agreement with a other man in regards to work in exchange for monitary compensation. That is no ones business except those two men!
As far as sticking together, I'm all for that as a industry. There are guys in this room I have given leads on loads, good brokers, equipment on sale. I've offered my tools and room for repairs.
Now if you are gonna go with "Broker transparency" BS I'll just back away now.
Those idiots can't see past the end of there noses.
Why do I care how much a broker makes. Along as it pays me well. The broker don't ask me about my input cost. But again, I only haul a load if it is handsomely profitable for myself. Don't even care if the broker looses his shirt tail.
Next, your jb idea. I've pulled JB loads. I've profited very well on them. They do not have rates locked up tight. They will negotiate. Even they pay stupid money in the right situation.
Anyone that agrees to work for a low wage or rate, its your fault you accepted it. Not the employer, not the broker.
At the end of the day, week, year, and life. Im responsible for myself. Nobody but family might be there for me at the end. -
Funny. A elderly lady across town was all upset to see someone unloading truck parts on her porch. We have same house number on the same street. But its amazing how the 19 yearold girl delivering parts didn't understand the North vs South concept. -
Technically I told you anyway before you asked
