    The food service company i was at had a stupid bean counter tune + progressive shift enabled where the rpms wouldn't go above 1700, DD15. Word was they were around 375 according to the few shop hands. If you lost any speed going uphill empty you were grabbing 9th. Always plagued with emissions issues too. Every 10hr break you were doing a manual regen

    Reminds me of one night when I was doing my EMT-P intern timein the ER at Washoe Medical Center.
    It was a very slow night,we were all wishing for something to happen.... well the medic unit radio woke up and announced they were inbound with one teenager, GSW to....(bit of a pause)....several wounds below the waist. Followed by the patient report...BP within range, Repirations within range, alert, has PEARL (pupils are reactive to light)....and very talkative. ETA, 5 minutes.
    OK...prep trauma 1, GSW protocols, notify OR of incoming, page all OR staff...we are set.
    This kid (16 yrs)...got daddy's colt, tucked it in his belt,then triedtoquick draw with a freind....it was loaded (*he didn't know?*)...diagnosis;
    glazing cauterized burn right side of p--is, entry wound also cauterized of right upper scrotum, right testicle cauterized thru and thru, exit wound cauterized lower center scrotum, entry wound semi-cauterized left inner thigh, tragectory from upper thigh to approximately upper knee with exit wound at top knee bleeding.
    Pt presented with a testicle (intact in scrotum) approximately the size of a baseball. Chief complaint....nobody told him the gun was loaded....we notified his father who was on patrol...Washoe County Sheriff Capt. who responded to the center Code 3....and slightly aggitated....maybe also a bit embarrassed.
    What a night...!!!
