It would be cool to go through those steel mills you load out of. Just to see them make the stuff.

 

Might get you some pics sometime, a good freind actually sets in a room and keeps watch on the monitors where the steel and ingots are made.

@stwik : The day my company puts in remote cameras is the day I hand in my resignation. GPS tracking? Not a problem. Satellite messaging? No issue. Elogs? Eh... I'd prefer a colouring book these days, but it's okay.

But being able to access, whenever they want, to see what I'm seeing and see me driving? That's micromanagement gone too far. If the load is getting there on time and in one piece, dispatch should have no say in what a driver does to get it there.

Bending a few laws and telling a few white lies is what trucking is all about.
