Honestly there's some guesswork involved.. My tach has never really worked right for the 3years I've had her. Seems to get lazier as the day goes bye. So I've always just went by the math on what she is actually revving at per road speed..

The speedo is a little un trustworthy as well. It is accurate between 60mph & 80mph. For rpm I'm going by the way the truck was spec'd, vs 2 gps speedometers, & phone speedo..

Here's where it gets weird.. I've recently found one of the 2 pigtails on the back of the trans to be not fully seated in the connector.. It now does about 1mph faster in each hole on the low side at the rev limiter. Then high side 5th +2mph, 6th & 7th +3mph, & 8th +5mph showing via all gps & speedo.. Which now leads me to believe the 1800 rpm limiter has been raised, or it was possibly swapped to 3.91 rear..? I dont even frickin know what to think anymore..?
Time to get a properly functioning tach & go from there..

GPS used to peg ~72mph
Now does 76 or 77mph. If I catch an overpass on the down side she will hang at 77 till I back out of the pedal..
