It’s possible that I’m wrong, there’s definitely a lot of bias out there on topics like World War 2, Civil War and Vietnam to name a few; my information primarily comes from books and aren’t first hand sources, which is why one day I’d like to visit places like the National Archives and the Arlington Library to look at these documents myself; with that being said I will neither deny, nor confirm the authenticity of what I had said in that comment
