You really need to get bevels cut on that lumber. You'll be amazed how much nicer the coils sit. Seriously, not busting on ya... cut those boards.
-
How do I do that lol Western barely has hard wood, most is that cheap pine woodEldiablo, cke, singlescrewshaker and 4 others Thank this.
-
Hard wood or not, take what you can get. Set the board flat like you have it on the deck of your trailer. Then cut a 45 along one of the top edges. If you want, I can send you a picture of mine tomorrow.Eldiablo, cke, Wasted Thyme and 5 others Thank this.

Here ya go.Eldiablo, cke, Wasted Thyme and 6 others Thank this.

This for sure ..... some companies request you use a beveled timber or they won’t load you. The sharp edge has a tendency to leave a crinkle in softer metal......
-
Ohh okay, I thought you meant buy or something; I’d need a circular saw or something similar to do that with but I can cut a 45 no problem
-
Which is not allowed under a steel coil.
