This is my solution to the broken 1/2 fender mount. 3/4 angle welded to the bottom 16” long. Turned out nice but will create a rust issue as time goes on I’m sure. Here is is instaled. Can’t even hardly see it while standing. Wife bought these for me so I figured I’d install them. I’ve been himming and hawing about this leather coverd shifter since I bought this leather wheel a year ago. She knew it and ordered it up. And this dog tag I hung in the left front window just out of my line of vision.

 

Our owner is switching BACK to manuals because the auto-shifts are costing him more money in repairs, and get the same or worse fuel economy than equivalent Paccar MX-13's with manuals. It's all a big scam to make truck owners pay more in maintenance costs, just like DEF.

 

I couldnt even make this stuff up if I wanted to...but less than 2k miles after a full dpf/doc/other garbage system replacement, Im sitting with a check engine light that I think is an "incomplete regen process" light. I hate this engine with the fury of 1000 suns.

I’m hot on the job search this coming fall

I like it here. But we’re giving up a lot with these trucks and the coin simply isn’t there to compensate for it.

It’s become only stricter between the 660 and now... and I won’t see a cent more for it. Hell, their gouging us on the bonus pay as it is...

Plus I’d like to see my front door more often. Even if it is just getting through the house for a night...

 

Get rid of it, you'll have less issues. I know Paccar's come alive when you get rid of what's choking them off. As powerful as a C-12/C-13 CAT. Most "warranty work" on big trucks these days is that emissions garbage (surprise surprise). Guess that's what happens when you design a motor that can do a million miles with little more than oil changes (6NZ/N14/S60). Got to make it "better for the environment".

 

Oh ohh I forgot I also lost a tire 8mi before the Loves here in Willis (just north of Houston)

Boss is working on it. They just bought these trucks last year without doing too much research on them and they "got a good deal"...duh.
