I see where 5 meets 299 in Redding, I’ll head that way just to be safe lol I don’t even see anything about 101 in my atlas, no restrictions

 

Bobtailing to general mills in buffalo ny to pickup a trailer. Then up to Kraft in lowville, ny to get a load of lunchables for ft Worth, tx.

 

Get up to at least Corning (T/A, Loves, Petro...40 minutes to 299) and get your 10.

Open the link I put in the other post, zone 1 you will see a section of 101 you absolutely can't use....no debate.

I did the same thing on a long gradual downhill south of Jackpot on 93 just after dawn

Did it once only after 3 months with the new truck and all Michelin tires.

 

299 isn't too bad now that they've straightened out some of the turns on Buckhorn. It gets a little narrow just east of Burnt Ranch...sheer rockwall on one side, two hundred foot straight drop to the river on the other...but most people get through there alright.
@otherhalftw is right about 101. If you try sneaking through there they'll get you. They watch for 53's and the fine is ugly.
Don't even think about Hwy 32 or Hwy 36.
