Yeah that oilfield stuff dried up.
Busy in the shop though, even with some hired help.
That state job would have been alright but the benefits weren't as promised so it turns out my time is better spent in the shop.blairandgretchen, 650cat425, Lostkeys and 14 others Thank this. -

Used to always go camping this time of the year on the bayou, 30 degrees out and it got so cold one night I fell asleep sitting in a chair next to my campfire because I didn’t have a proper sleeping bag lol screw that 10 degree weather

Rare, but it comes with the territory, it happens.
Most jobsites are not as smooth as a babies butt.
Most have other men working in the single hallway you need access too to get near the elevator shaft, most have a giant mud pit you need to navigate with fragile crates post rain storm, most have a single doorway that’s shared by the entire crew — most have issues. With three elevators being delivered on one day. And the above issues. And only one pallet jack. You learn to play the game or spin twice the miles for 5k less in pay per year.
