I shoot for fun, not competition. I don’t play well with Fudds.

Lets see one of them put down the $80K Krieghoff and see what they can do with a pump gun with an 18” barrel.

It feels like it's in the right side drive axles. Put a heavy load on and it almost disappears. Loaded light it's pretty much constant.

I've posted before how it chops up the outer tread of steer tires. As soon as one is replaced, it will start on the other. Replace both at once, it still chops one up.

A dumb question. Have you measured the drive axles for centers?

Here is why I ask. My 9400 had a real bad vibration problem.

What was found to be the problem. They forgot to put a spacer in the mount for the carrier bearing, that put a bit of bind on the drive shaft under certain conditions. The other thing was one drive axle (front) was not square to the frame or the other drive axle.
This axle alignment was out since the truck was new.

That would actually make sense. Only thing is, this truck has the right steer set slightly forward of the left. It's supposed to compensate for road crown. So measuring from center of steer to each drive axle wouldn’t work. Maybe from drive axle to drive axle?

Would also have to get more precise than eyeballing with a tape I'd imagine.

We are doing a little experimenting tonight....

Made a kinda Oxbow inspired Le gruyere and heavy cream sauce over layered thin sliced potatoes with minced onion and mushrooms between the two layers and on top....topped with grated motz. Have a couple healthy sirloin steaks getting happy on the counter to go with.

Made some easy cheesecake bars with crescent roll dough from a recipe I ran across the other day.....they are chillin' in the fridge.

When it was finally figured out, all the wheels were off, had the truck on stands. We started to check the wheels/tires for a run out problem, then decided to put a laser alignment system on the axle ends. Seems every time the shop claimed to “check” the alignment all they did was rear drive to steers. It was actually found because the laser targets wouldn’t line up properly.
