    IMG_4377.JPG IMG_4373.JPG IMG_4377.JPG Not perfect by any means but.... slowly going together. Was last touched by my father in law in 1992, hard to tell how many years since it ran before then. New gaskets / seals as well as new timing set, water pump on the engine. 29,000 original miles but I lapped the valves and installed new seals anyways.

    This will be for my father in law and my wife.... it was his retirement dream, sadly taken from him when his wife died suddenly just weeks after he retired.

    I think the top tarp holds the top bags on?

    Can’t tarp completely unless it’s actively raining otherwise they will start to mold, is what I was told.

    I do like the idea of setting the last skid on the 4x4 though!!!

    Or just avoiding them in the future?

    The sides are open to keep air flow through them so they don’t get mildewed as they sweat. The load will get lighter as you travel. Have to drop the sides if you run into rain
