You have a lease truck and are running mats for 200 a Round???

 

is your DEF tank full?
Is the DEF tank out in the open, that you can actually see the plastic portion of the tank?

If yes to these. Give the tank a few good whacks.
Don’t try to cave it in, just shock it good. The idea is to see if your gauge float is stuck.

 

It’s almost full but a new development is the gauge floated all the way to empty a bit ago, I’m about to look for any leaks and try that

 

No leaks and I kicked it a couple times lol 7/8 of a tank

 

Not good. Probably looking at wire harness replacement.

 

More than likely it’s the sending unit. Freightliner/Western Star it’s not uncommon for the exact same symptoms as he’s experiencing, I had this with mine last year. I have the software and went thru all the trouble shooting and it said it was the wire harness. I ordered one and installed it 2 days later, didn’t fix the problem. I replaced the def tank header unit (sending unit) and it fixed the problem. Wire harness was $150 and the header unit was $1600.
