I have no clue why drivers are reckless thoughtless stupid jerks who jeopardize my truck and personal safety. But it does irritate me a tiny bit. When I took drivers ed back in the dark ages we were taught to always provide ourselves an escape route and I've practiced that for 35 years and never hit anyone. Been hit by 3 and every time was completely avoidable by not tailgating or not cutting other drivers off. Luckily no major injuries in any accident even tho 1 involved 3 cars, 1 straight truck and 2 semis.
Steep hill decent is 1 time will use cruise for the engine break. It does better than I do as long as I keep an eye on the rpm.

No safety feature is a plus. The trucks these days are nonsense. I’ll be applying for more of an operations position if they add any more features

Are you saying that you use cruise control descending a steep grade? That’s nonsense

I just put my jakes in high gear when it’s a steep enough decent and these on this truck are pretty ####ty and often not enough to slow you down any, in fact you’ll pick up speed if loaded heavy, so what I do is just hit my brakes gently enough to slow down 5 mph and wait for my speed to slowly increase back to the speed I originally started slowing down at

That’s what my trainer here tried to get me to do lol “Why are you using your jakes all the time” referring to me using them to slow down to save my brakes on any road surface, he uses cruise doing downhill too; #### computer can’t drive better than me I’m da #### of course :D jk

Trucks with a Detroit and auto trans if programmed properly can do extremely well going down hills. I would assume other brands can too.

Drop and hook to Walmart DC in Ottawa, KS. Soon as the trailer is out of the tire shop. I'll head out and stage up to deliver in the morning.
