Well, I don't shoot anymore, except for fun, but I do know people that are active.

Serious shooters will use something like this...


That rifle will run around $5g. There are more expensive rifles out there, but I don't know why anybody buys them except to be able to say they have one.

Something like this Air Arms S400...


Which can be bought for less than $1g if you shop for it, will do everything most of the more serious shooters need. Extremely accurate, very adjustable, and won't break the bank account.

My personal favorite for beginner to intermediate shooters...



The Daisy 753, for less than $500, you get a match grade rifle that you can take out of the box and start shooting. They're accurate, reliable, comfortable for darn near everyone, and best of all, it makes the shooter slow down.

 

And if its sand he knows were to "pound it".

 

I like the peep sights on the Daisy, if I were to use iron sights that’s the way I’d wanna go

That 5,000 dollar one looks like space age technology lol I’d prefer the $1000 one that reminds me of an m40 rifle
