I did something similar a few years ago. Three fingers. Went to the emergency room, first thing the doc says "was this an accident?"

    Ah...., yaaaaaa...

Then he explained he had to fill out paperwork, apparently they track these sort of things, statistics...

But, like you, he says go home, there's nothing left to stitch up, it'll heal from the inside. Two fingers are fine. One finger will still not bend, stiff as a board.
Good luck, I know that will smart for a few days.

Notice my tarp strap on hood for throttle control. Always had trouble with that. Even new they don't hold its place well. So wide open it is.

Be sure to keep it covered and moist, it will heal faster that way and hurt less from the air getting to it.

I let the dogs out at 6am. Almost all the snow was melted.

7:30ish, my wife tells me "its snowing again". Currently there's now like 3"+ on the ground, covering everything and its still comin down.

As a kid, this was just another winter day with just enough snow to go out and play in if it was a Sat/Sun. If it was a week day, psh I could only dream about school being cancelled, cause there was no way it was gonna happen in reality.
