That's how we do it with the back blade on the 330 #### spreader. Wheel weights + 50ish gal of water/calcium. The drifts are so big here even with chains on its a struggle to move em

@Rontonio
You ran those turbine blades up from the border to Oklahoma right?
There's some stuff going around that says the blades here in Tx that supposedly froze up are the exact same design as the blades used in other places like N Dakota where it gets a lot colder and those never freeze. Any idea?650cat425, Eldiablo, jamespmack and 5 others Thank this. -
Was it freezing rain that stopped them ??650cat425, Eldiablo, PoleCrusher and 7 others Thank this.

@Superhauler
It is mostly a verbal tic from east of Lake of the Woods. Some of us from the western provinces find it somewhat offensive to be painted with the same brush. The same as a man from Idaho might be offended to be blamed about a "joisy accent".650cat425, Eldiablo, PoleCrusher and 9 others Thank this. -
I first heard that "eh" i thought I was being asked a question everytime I heard it. Took me a while before I realized it was just part of the dilect.

I just haul them....
but having said that - it is very likely nothing to do with the blades but the gear oil and such in the nacelles.
wind energy is produced all over the world - think far northern Scandinavia and offshore in the North Sea. This is not a systemic problem but a very localized one. Also, most reports are pointing at the issue being on a different part of the energy production chain.
it is terrible what has happened in TX - I think when the final analysis is done the answer will be much like a plane crash. Not one cause but series of issues.
There are probably more than half a dozen different manufacturers wind products producing in TX
vestas GE Seimans Goldwind Nordex - just off the tip of my head. -
