Can I say I really prefer drop and hook. 2.5 hours and still not unloaded. But getting a split birth and the other shipper is a drop and hook. Just have to fill up the reefer first. After picking up. Heading to a rest stop west of Phoenix.

Hope you enjoy that. If I had to drive all day and listen to that noise the radio would have a screw driver driven through its heart. LOL

Haha welcome to trucking. Just wait til they send you to buzzottos in Cheshire CT. Don't feel too bad, most of us here on #5 are 100% live load/unload. My 2 steady runs I'm loaded within 30-40 min on one run and the other is 15 min for 15 totes. Getting empty on both runs is about 1hr-1.5hr

If it makes u feel better , last load i had.... Delivered on wednesday morning about 10am.. Next load scheduled at 3pm... so i get there about 1pm.... They didnt finish loading me til 11pm . Logged a 10hr break that whole time i was there ,and hit the road once loaded and delivered in portland 11am next day... didnt get a wink of sleep .... Thats my fault because usually it dont take 10 hours to load a flatbed .oh and the broker stiffed me on detention time as well... But sometimes thats just how it goes i guess......

Rofl I’m too tired, especially after he told me about rolling over like 4 times, “It was daylight, then it was dark” lmao! I told him I’ll drop him off in his home town next to Birmingham, see if I gaf! He messaged whomever is responsible for him about it, pretty sure they’ll approve it but either way...

What was really funny was when I asked him how old he was, he said 30, then naturally he asked me how old I was and I was like 22, he was so impressed of me and my total super awesome skills he pulled out another cigarette to celebrate my accomplishments :D

So I have a question. Anybody wash their dishes in the sink when you get a shower at the truck stop? I did it today. My silverware, 2 containers, 2 cups, and my plate.
