There’s not a truck in my near future, I’m merely asking questions now to know what to look for and buy, I got a lot of other things to do first

About 12-15 an hr. Beats being a Walmart greeter though.

 

Id hate to throw away a tire with that much tread on it, but it looks like its cut into the sidewall, which i wouldn't risk running.

 

I took a similar sized bite out of a steer with all of ~14k miles on it.. Wasn't on the shoulder like that, but I gambled it for about 2 weeks till I got home. Didn't get any worse..

I'm also running China bombs & not Michelin like you, so the sting of buying another new one wasn't too bad.. I say roll on, but pull & replace it at the 1st chance you get, that won't cause loss of revenue..
