You just need a change in perspective. You’re married so you have no need to impress a woman right? All you need is a cheap $2500 used Honda to get you from A to B and back. SO what if you gave it back, it’s happened to the best of folks.
My dad hitchhiked when he was younger to watch wrasslin because his car was broke down, a young married man with priorities out of order. Now, he and my mom have seven figures in the bank, draw retirement and social security and own their own truck and trailer. And he has been deep in debt before. It will work out, keep a good work ethic and watch your debt to income.
By the way my current daily is a 1997 Honda that has been hit by three deer. The right door doesn't even open, but I am replacing it with a 2003 Honda Pilot I bought for $2800. To look at me you would think I am dirt poor but it’s certainly not the case. Best of luck, Ruger.OLDSKOOLERnWV, homeskillet, ShooterK2 and 14 others Thank this. -
I'm doing a little, well, number crunching. I've looked up most of the major engine brands horsepower, torque and dry weight ratings for the past 25-ish years, to come up with some power to weight ratios.
As I suspected, the CAT C-12 came in as one of the best for low weight and high horsepower/torque. The Cummins X12 was a complete surprise, it has the lowest ratio out of any motor (500hp/1700lbft in a 2050 lb motor is mind-blowing). Now I'm not sure if these weights include emissions equipment, I'm assuming they aren't.
But, my question is, is there any easy way to look up tractor weights without the motors? I'm not looking for an exhaustive list, just things like the 379/W900/T800/4900EX/9300i etc. Or at least an idea of what the lightest tractor spec would be? With sleeper of course.OLDSKOOLERnWV, ShooterK2, 1951 ford and 9 others Thank this. -
