A friend of ours that's leased to my boy woke up at one this morning and noticed his break lights for the trailer were on. Went out and opened the door to find out there had been a dash fire.

Burnt a hole through the front of the dash and one through the bottom. The rubber floor had a whole burnt in it. It had got hot enough that the sunroof trim had melted around the screw holes and was laying in the seats.

Needless to say he's looking for another truck.

With the new filters truck seems excessively smokey on startup are sitting over night. Has a slightly rough idle but one that clears up so does the smoke. Talking maybe 30 seconds that it does it

 

Picked up a bottle of this on Friday. Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. I like it better than Maker's Mark even tho it was like 25 more than Maker's. Goes down smooth

 

I'm thinking maybe it's time to exit, post haste, stage left...
