Since I have been waiting almost 4 months for work to start - I figured a weekend in Vegas was just what I needed for a distraction...

This view of Sugar Loaf Mountain (2 big hills).
I used to live in one of the buildings down there back in the 70's... there were only 6 buildings back then .. my friends n I used to climb the hill on the right corner of this picture...


The arrow points to the building... my parents lived there from 1971 till 1998 or so... I lived there during all my teenage years..



That's the Guanabara bay... the Rio-Niteroi bridge in the background... connects the city of Rio to the rest of cities in the state of Rio.

date glazed - sounds weird but tastes unbelievable- comes out super crispy

 

I sold the apt. For R$100.000,00 cheaper than I wanted so to sell if fast...
And still, it took 8 months from the time the realtor started looking for buyers till the sale was finalized... I will receive the rest of the money from the bank next week and be done with this...
New owner took me there today to see the construction... major reform... Gave me mixed feelings...

I confess I felt "something" when I saw it... mixed feelings...
But must detach and let go of the past memories and embrace the present...
I have lived in many many places in my life and don't feel I belong anywhere anyway... I have no family anywhere and don't really care about any place anymore.. .
