Yes, I removed the door brace and put an RV stay on so nobody takes it off for me. ( opens all the way veritical now )

Works way, way better than the room unit I used for the first 3 years. If your going to use a small generator try and get a ac unit with mechanical controls not electronic.

 

I love @Tug Toy 's set up, but I dont have that kind of space under the bunk. Dang Peterbilts! The thought has crossed my mind to put one
in the back wall of the sleeper, since I have a headache rack back there to hide it, but thats a lot of fab work.

For a portable, I was atleast going to try a dual vent unit and put them going out each window. Store it in the closet behind my passenger seat when Im not using it.

 

Wow, is that a van brundt drill? I used to have a set of those on a hitch. Pulled them behind my M. I used to have a large Farmall collection. I collected all kinds of equipment. My wife hated it. I had a 6 row tool bar with JD 71Flex planters that I used to plant veggies with. They were like brand new, shiny as all get out. Guy had them in a corner of his shop for the last bunch of years. I lived down the street from a old guy who was born in that house he was in. There was honestly about 100 years of equipment there. I shopped at his place alot. He had a cat 2, 6 and 8 pony starts that where like brand new in his shop. Said they hadn't been touched since before i was born. It was all he used to farm with. Had a ton of old one ways out back too. Dry land farming. Guy was pretty cool.
