I feel your pain. I just had my steer shoes replaced because of rust jacking. It drives me nuts to throw away shoes with that much meat on them but it isn't worth the ticket if inspected.

 

Just flip 'em around so the cracked lining is facing the other way!

 

Somewhere behind the center right side dash you will find a black disk with the fiber tubes coming out.
There is a single bulb holder in the center that holds a (194? I think) bulb that is powered by your instrument lights.
It is usually loose back there.
That was in my 89 FLC

 

You laugh, but I have had to do that for people. Also worked for a dealer that washing any oil soaked shoe was common practice.

 

I can believe it. Had a few guys go "meh, that drum on the rear left doesn't quite have 0.120" wear yet, just change the worn out one on the rear right for now. I'll get that almost worn one done in the fall."

Funny you mention that!!!!!!!! Due to no fault of mine (more reefer trailer drama) ima get me a trip back home and leave with a bit less trailer behind than I'm bringing in!!!! Yaayyy.. So happy
Mechanic is my bosses dad and he thinks I'm crazy but he was a flatbedder for years until his back/heart/etc said no more. I said but Pops...use it or lose it.... He says yeah I guess I lost it and he laughed....

 

We all know your sandbaging us. We're is that new Hi speed planter that all JD guys are talking about?

I'm only having a laugh because as simple as I am. That expensive planter does not make sense. Much like me buying a brand new KW/Pete.
