I see you built a fire pit. Just build a wood/charcoal grill pit. Give the right flavor to the meat vs gas.

 

All day here too. Gonna have to open the valves to get some heat going tomorrow in the truck. Forgot to the other morning leaving the yard and threw on the defrost. Bad move Lol the window fogged up instantly.

 

We don't grill on gas. For the last two years it has had one burner that has a pan over it filled with wood chips. We use it as a smoker mostly.

Tonight we are putting reds in foil so we are using it as a oven.

 

Even over here on the east side Idaho is known for Mormons and militias. What on earth were they expecting??

Yeah, I wasn't gonna bother trying to find a spot closer to Seattle. We got a light pole and concrete on our left fender, and another truck parked on the right, so maybe we'll be ok.

Might go check out the steak house next door after our laundry gets done.

 

Couldn't tell ya. When they first moved out there, they had nothing but good things to say about how wonderful the place was (including the people!). Over the years they started griping more and more about how most of the people there were a bunch of ignorant rednecks and they were fed up with being around "lesser people".

There's a reason I don't associate with pretty much anybody on my mother's side of the family anymore.

 

Been through Jasper hundreds of times but never actually stopped to explore. I like the drive from Calgary to Revelstoke. Stopped in Banff once but it was much too touristy for my taste.

I'm not much of a camper. I'd probably sleep in the backseat though. Done it many times before.

I've been thinking about heading to Red Deer for some riding in the near future as well. North Battleford is a little far but might make a point of stopping there the next time I'm heading through Saskatchewan.

 

We are watching Vince and Reba at the opry on circle....
