Haha
just recently started having it delivered. Still way less than using heating oil. We went from going up in the woods and cut em, drag em out. Then for a few years we'd get a tri axle delivered for about 1200 and just recently we started having it delivered for 150 a cord. Usually the guy brings more than a cord. Work smarter not harder
. Instead of handling the wood a bunch of times to only once now

clausland, singlescrewshaker, jamespmack and 6 others Thank this. -
That stihl 440mag is a great 70cc saw. We have an older 038 mag II from the late 80s early 90s 70cc with the 24in bar

Nah, just giving you a hard time. I agree actually. All the time, money and effort could be better spent. I'm actually having a self loader drop off mine aswell. Ever since I turned 38 and my midlife crisis went into full swing.......I've become ultra aware of time/effort and how I spend it.cke, Lostkeys, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this.

All of the 0 series were darned good saws. The new ones are just lighter and have better dampening. I had an 066....good saw. When it came time to rebuild it...I just used it as an excuse to get a new one.cke, singlescrewshaker, jamespmack and 1 other person Thank this.

Day cabs are the best...cke, Wasted Thyme, Eldiablo and 1 other person Thank this.

I used to think that. Now I would rather have something with a coffin. That way if things are running long, unexpected delays or shutdown due to weather....you have someplace to rest your head that isn't the steering wheel. Plus 36" isn't hurting anything and you can still look through the back window if you want. Just my opinion on the matter after having a few daycabs.....never again.cke, TripleSix, singlescrewshaker and 2 others Thank this.

Oh I know Lol. We would always wait til end of summer so it was nice and cool out instead of doing it in the blazing heat. With 3 of us working at it we could have it all done in 3 weekends of work. About 10-12 loads stacked high in the old #### spreader wagon would get us through winter.
The tri axle loads just made a mess of the yard Lolcke, clausland, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this. -
I worked at a lawn equipment place part time in high school and my boss loved the old Stihl's. I've sharpened thousands and thousands of chains. They did such a good business they bought a fully automated chain sharpener for ~20k i think. Made my work a whole lot easier.
cke, John E., singlescrewshaker and 2 others Thank this. -
