    You mean this little one? Excellent saw....light weight, strong, great for bucking and felling. Don't go over the 16 inch bar, that is it's max capacity. I use the Stihl chain on mine, lasts longer than Oregon chains. Get a few of the round files for that chain and the guide if you need to learn how to sharpen/file the chain.

    The little saw in the background....aka the wifes saw....my saw is the front one...371, 25 inch bar, twice the weight and power.

    It’s confusing as hell with all the different models and many are discontinued it seems so everything is so convoluted

    You pay a bit more for Stihl, but you get what you pay for. The 16 inch bar will handle up to a 38 DBI oak....if you are taking on smaller trees...it will be the right saw. The chain is really the issue....keep it sharp and free of burrs. every time you refuel, do a qick deburring with your file....bar oil-fuel-chain....great habit to get into. Watch some chain care vids on youtube...
