Watching old episodes of Motor Trend. Blows my mind that 30 years ago you could buy a brand new diesel 3/4 ton 4x4 for under $20k.

 

Yeah, them making fun of Canada is actually one of the better parts. They do it well. South Park is great because nothing is off the table. They make fun of everything and everyone.

 

Wow! Towing capacity for the dualies in the early/mid 90s was only like 10k lbs. We've sure advanced with technology. Half-tons have been towing in that range for a couple years now.

Yeah, but today's 1/2 ton tows more. It's amazing how far trucks have come. My 1ton can tow like 30 something thousand lbs.....that's nuts. I tow my 41 foot toy hauler like it's not even there. Plus it gets like 20mpg more often than not.

 

Dang....you got to it before me.

 

One of the public channels on this TV shows a "cine prive" movie every Saturday night...



It's pretty lame IMO... but decided to watch tonight..
Not one single story but many separate pieces of scenes not connected to each other...
Some were funny...







After the movie they have a show with some ladies talking about sex topics...



Nothing really interesting...
Many years ago there used to be many shows on public tv stations with sex movies and all sorts of shows about sex, interviews, modeling, exotic shows on live stage, with audience and all... but not on the channels of this TV here.

 

So looks like I'll be out of trucking for the next 6 months to a year. Thought I was having bad acid reflux. But got to a point where I was dehydrated and severely cramping. Called 911 just west of Albuquerque, NM. They got me hydrated and my potassium back up. But did a CT scan also. Found a 6cm mass. This was on Sunday. Turns out I have pancreatic cancer. Reflux was caused by the blockage. Seems to not have spread. However, need 6 months of chemo to shrink it. Before they can remove it. Using the Whipple surgery.
