Um no. I didn't think they broke cuz they didnt look as short as I figured an overtorqued broken bolt would look. But I've never seen that so.....
That is friggin terrifying tho. And obviously not something one would do to ones own vehicle cuz if one was that dumb prolly couldn't afford the truck or the tools. Just sayingcke, dwells40, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this. -
Also Mr Mouthy....
Get a small or medium sized brightly colored tool pouch that can't get lost in the woods. Put the wrench and screwdrivers plus a qt of bar oil and some rags and a toothbrush in it. Maybe a big carabiner on the handle. A can of spray paint or roll of survey tape. Hit the tools with a splotch of paint so you can see them in the dirt and use the paint on trees to mark anything you don't want to forget. Like a tree that will probably fall on you if you cut another tree near it first. It would suck to have your last thought be ...darn I remember noticing that the other day...
Plus an extra chain or 2. Stihl makes some micro kerf bars. Check that your chains fit the bar before you go out. Watch out for wire fence and stuff grown into the wood but you can't always see it. That's why backup chains are handy.
Bring your phone and keep it on DND in your shirt pocket or somewhere you can reach it with the hand you didn't cut off....
Mom out.cke, Eldiablo and farmerjohn64 Thank this.
