See the red paint on the frame? That’s your battery frame ground. Follow it back to the battery, take it off, put your ground wire on that battery, reconnect the frame ground wire to the battery and tighten it down. Confident that you have wired up correctly, Place your fuse in the holder. This ground will be sufficient for even 1x4 amplifiers, no need to bond the doors, etc.
So, just to review. Put Wilson Cascadia mount on, put antenna bracket on, run coax thru the door. Pop A pillar covers off and take screws out from behind window shade. Pass coax and theoretical amp wire thru, then we can pop the A pillar covers back on. Run amp power wires thru firewall grommet and back down to battery. Hook up and mount speaker wire thru from passenger side to driver’s side, hook up cb power wire and coax jumper. Pass other end of coax jumper into overhead bin hinge hole. Hook swr meter up to both coax jumper and antenna coax, tune antenna by trimming or adjusting tip. Now it’s time to talk. Any questions, just ask or pm.

I ran over to Guymon to load. They said up front they is low on product so not sure about my wait time. Any rate I be between here and there
-
And don’t let them tell you that an export radio won’t fit in the overhead compartment, all you need is a dremel and a cutoff wheel
Everything shown will do no damage to the truck and can be returned to original condition. It is all totally hidden minus the coax coming in the door. Anyone just running a cb and antenna can do this in probably 30 mins. Start to finish, amp included, you could do all this in under an hour. And with that said, I am done.

You have outdone yourself, @shogun
I’m sure I’m not the only one in here who has learned a thing or two... if I stay past this fall I’ll be going out and buying what I need and doing this
peterbilt_2005, Zeviander, BigBob410 and 10 others Thank this. -
The key is grounding the mount, and run your own coax. Low mount mirror like Cascadias need tall, fiberglass top loaded antennas like SkipShooters, Firestick or Wilson Silverload. Six foot is possible, five foot minimum.
