100% agree, spec the right tool for the job. The 99 is a bit overkill for van work with 4.42/44k rears and the extended 5th wheel slide. But it's better to have it and not need it than wishing you had it. So many people buy a "cookie cutter" truck instead of spec'ing it out to their needs.

Like some of the guys asking questions wanting to get into heavy haul but they have cheap POS fleet spec trucks Lol

That’s why I bought this one, capable of standing up behind the seat, and was a factory a/c p/s truck. The one I drive in the early 90’s was a glider and didn’t have neither one lol.....

In my opinion yes. They are that hard up for drivers. In passed years I always thought about building a small fleet. Drivers is the unknown. Then I spend a hour at my buddy's shop and listen to his drivers talk and that idea has passed. He pays well with benefits. Most of them are useless supertruckers with long lists of what they wont do. Half of them are hard on equipment.

I'm just gonna stick to my one truck operation. I'd like to fire myself twice a week. But to be honest. I dont know if I would be a good "employee" anymore.

The thought crossed my mind about having a few trucks and drivers but changed my mind a while back. No way. I can only think of 1 person i could put in a truck and that wouldn't destroy it and respect it

Right. I think it was a M11 flat floor that I changed starters in like 30 minutes. That included walking to parts counter and getting one and a cup of coffee. Hell that's over 20 years ago.

Or an IROC-Z with T-tops out front, and the wine would have to be in a box.
