Going by published stats and liveleak videos, Brazil seems to be a pretty dangerous place overall. Is it overblown sensationalism from inner cities, or is it really that bad? Like if someone just read the headlines from Chicago, the US would sound terrifying.

 

Just give it a few months, and we'll have our own first hand experience. Personally, I'm looking forward to walking down to the bank and paying my $200k mortgage off with a days earnings. It's gonna be great when everything is free!

 

I'll share. But my experience was from the 80's. I wasn't in Brasil in the 90's.

I must leave now but I will elaborate on those two answers when I come back later...

Have my holiday tri tip in the last stage of the pre-cook phase. In about an hour it'll be time to start the slow cooker to have it ready by dinner time.

Going to be stuck in NM for the next 6 to 9 months. Out of the hospital since Tuesday. But in a shelter. It's not terrible. Once the medicaid kicks in I'll be in better housing. UNM hospital actually is ranked 3rd in the country for pancreatic cancer. So I lucked out with it happening here.
