Maybe 115km/hr lol. I've only briefly owned a few 2 strokers. A 97 Suzuki Rm125, a kawasaki ke175, and a yamaha Yz250 (with 0 functioning brakes) too fun, and I made a little $ on all of em.
I was 11 when I bought my xl185. Still have it. Just bought a parts bike to overhaul it this winter. It has had a very hard life. Reliable as nails. 34 years I've only done the head gasket twice.

No it ran, had zero business having a 6th gear. Only could use 5/6 on the road around here.
I recall how goofy the ct90 looked. But do not think I've ever seen a ct125.
That cr was fun. But for what I did. XR's were my style.
Buddy bought a nice 250x 3 wheeler when I bought the 125. His was spotless, and I mowed alot of lawns and painted barns. Have a feeling he didn't buy it. Anyhow, he is still alive. That was a fast unit.PoleCrusher, shooter19802003, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this. -
XRs are definitely my trail riding style. Ct125 was a conventional bike. Had a manual 4spd. Enclosed chain, and a rear rack. Mine had an accessory seat and factory hand guards. From what I gather they were only sold in north America 2-3 years. Very popular in south Africa and Australia. It was heavy for what is was.
I paid for my 185 after discovering divorced moms. Had about a dozen I did odd jobs for.

The one I had was a 70 or 71, got it new. At that time it was the one to have for all purpose off road riding. They were pretty bulletproof, cheap to rebuild. Bultaco and Ossa were to pricey and CZ/Jawa was just to hard to find.PoleCrusher, shooter19802003, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.

Gonna see what she does now. Dad's picking up a load. Moved the fuel plate up about 3mm and 2 turns on the star wheel for pre boost fueling

I had a Hodaka Combat Wombat back in the late 70s. Broke down all the #### time then had to wait for parts lol. Was a cool looking motorcycle. I wish I still had it.PoleCrusher, Gatordude, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this.
