Yup, hence why I only want & run old iron. Getting parts for them can also be problematic at times, but at least you can work on 'em yourself. Hoarding parts, oh yeah, definitely. I've got a spare New Holland haybine & baler, just for parts, along with two Case 530's. I'd buy more old iron if I had the money....

New trucks are suffering the worst right now for sure, but I think everything is going to suffer before this gets better. Local cat/Cummins shop here told me the other day that it’s 120 day wait for rebuild kits right now. I think it was @DUNE-T mentioned he or someone he knows waited several weeks for a oil pump for a N14. My 2018 has been parked since June 24th for a water pump.

 

I'm hopefully going to be dropping my head off for rebuild in September. Call it a gut feeling but I think it'll be there a month or 2.

 

My uncle helped me locate the fuel filter, laughingly where I was looking lmao! That was a sneaky, sneaky #######; I’m gonna change it later but thought I’d study up on it before I chug some gas or burn down my car

I used to drag home all kinds of old farm equipment. I was really bad about it. I had a fleet of farmall M. From parade ready to rust bucket. I couldn't pass one up. Same with the jd flex planters. I had so many it wasn't funny. I had boxes of planter plates in my quonset. My wife would just laugh. If I was running late.....she knew why.
