In situations like that, I have someone push down on the dock lock with a long 2x4 as I bump the dock.
With the mudflaps, I have taken a tarp strap, hooked the bottom of the flap and pulled up and hook the other end to the stake pocket. Looks ugly but works.cke, farmerjohn64, otherhalftw and 9 others Thank this. -
This could get long, maybe someone can learn. 1963ish my grandfather moved the family from Tiffin, To Cleveland. Well they lived in Streetsboro, Suburb of Cleveland. Cooper Jarrett was closing terminals. Gramps was the senior op. Before the interstate system little Tiffin, Ohio was a hub for transportation companies. Biggest names i can recall were Cooper Jarret, Hennis, Kaplan, Mohawk Motors, and DOT lines. Sure I'm forgetting more than I recall. But dad was buddies with KR older brother in highschool. I dont recall if he was a classmate in Streetsboro or a rival from Ravenna. I dont recall if it was football or wrestling. But they were close. Kr was the little kid brother. I've met him. Nice guy. My father unlike me would put trust into someone or product, because you knew them. Not sure how to say it. But it was old-school trust. I met him once and started to pay attention, I told the old man he was full of it. Caused a issue with us. I Had to prove myself right. I did on a few, one I never had the chance to. Still learned alot. But I'm also not one to give trust so easily. Kr by no means is stupid. He is good at what he does, and I give him credit for trying and looking for improvements. He is not wrong on everything, but he is a salesman. A better salesman than most of us gents.
Men in my family were hot rodding trucks in the 50's. Some success, some failures. Certain alot looked down on thier efforts. But they were not looking to get wealthy. They were more interested in improving the industry for friends and family. Poor was a comfortable lifestyle after WWll

So wait, Your saying I need more mudflaps? Will that make my rear look better? What does all those little flaps do? To be honest, if I could figure out how to get by with one, I would.beastr123, exhausted379, cke and 6 others Thank this. -
That one was in saukville, Wisconsin.
Yeah, there was no way around the lock. It was like knee high and would have wiped out my bumper. Plus once loaded, I prolly wouldn't have been tall enough to even get off....if I managed to get on. It just want happening and I wasn't go to risk it. I had a new load 10 min later and reloaded about 1.5 hours after I posted that...so it's all good.jamespmack, cke, farmerjohn64 and 4 others Thank this.
