Still no word on my truck from the mechanic. Was told he'd have it in the shop with the trans out Wednesday. I haven't been back to the area since. I'll be over there Sunday so I'll go cruise by his shop and see if it's been pulled in or not. If not I'll probably fly off the handle Monday morning.

 

Figured an old schooler with your skills would just rebuild it!! The young guys I worked with at a dealership years ago were kind of shocked to find out we could and had rebuilt alternators and starters right on the work bench. Certainly not cost effective in today’s “throw everything away” world but doable. Of course most of them scratched their heads when I replaced points and adjusted a carb on a ‘65 Buick! If it didn’t have fuel injection and a computer most were lost...

If it hadn’t been a sealed unit I would have sure tore into it lol. I found one a worked late last night getting the firewall opening enlarged to accommodate the bigger motor. Now on to other Jeep issues lol.....

 

I’ve seen it snow in July crossing 40 / 48 which is now I-68 through ftostburg MD.....

 

Nah you don’t get any fun toys like that, only thing you can have is a small flashlight and not one of those big ones that can be used like a baton lol as for locking people up, I’m still doing on the job training every Friday at the facility I’ll be working at, instead of where I’m training, but I’m not sure how you lock up someone who’s already locked up

Benched today, incline, contest style.. Warmed up with 135, 5 reps with 185, 3 with 225. Begin. Powered 275 once. 295 was easy. Loaded 315. Could not envision 315. Tried it, couldn’t lock out. Extremely disappointing.

 

I hear you there. I've hit a roadblock the last few weeks as well. Can't seem to break 360 on the squat. Have even added dead squats and hack squats into the rotation. I can rep 315 a couple times now but 360 takes me to the floor every time.

 

Mental block?

Avoid 365 for a couple weeks. Concentrate on 315 FIVE times. If you can get 315 5 times, you should be able to squat 405, physically. Mentally….?

Mine was straight mental. I stood in front of the bench and looked at 295, closed my eyes and I could picture the weight in my mind. Powered it up with authority. I couldn’t see 315. It was like instant depression.

BTW, how are things at the watering hole?
