I thought they would be good for at least a couple years. I guess not. My problems were mostly nickel and dime stuff. The AC comp and alternator went out on me soon after buying the truck. Paid TK $1400 for the alt, comp, belt, and oil change. Then a month later threw the alt belt. TK warrantied the belt. Then threw the alt belt again. For some reason the alt pulley was wider than the belt and the belt was one tooth off from being aligned properly. A few months later the tripac quit charging the batteries. Found a broken ground strap at the bottom of the unit. Then at some point a fuel line rubbed through. Then another grounding issue.
Cant blame you for wanting a generator system. It would be a much simpler system.

@farmerjohn64 it seems ya got em out. Was gonna tell you use some pb and let it soak over night. Just do small turns back and fourth and be liberal with the spray. Be glad you didn't bust one off but they make a tool for that

About 20 yrs ago I used to workout every day... over 3 hrs in the gym every day.... after cleaning houses all day 7 days a week... did this for 2 and half yrs...
I looked great IMHO... but one day got pain in my knee and the pain got worse... and then had pain in all my joints... really weird... Had to stop leg press and reduce my workout. Once I started trucking, never went back to workout.
I HATE to workout... Nevertheless, bone doctor in Brasil told me 3 yrs ago that I MUST workout every day, all muscles in my body, specially core muscles, back, abs, legs.... every muscle so to protect my spine... so that I don't lose more bone... over 10 years over the road, with no exercise, stress, lack of routine, driving nights and days, not eating enough, etc accelerated loss of bone mass...
On top of that, problems with back and shoulder made it even more necessary to keep muscles strong and make them stronger to prevent more injuries....
I know I should be doing workout every day... But I am not... Lack of time, lack of motivation... I do a few exercises for legs and abs and shoulder in the room here but not much... Not even enough to get my muscles sore... And when I start working again, it may become more difficult to exercise... -
