What makes you think it's been in a ford? For some reason ford had them mounted slanted back down ... no idea as to why.

The last storm that made its way up to jersey a week or so ago was pretty sketchy running with only 7k in the box. It's the other drivers that scare me more than anythingFlint1, cke, shooter19802003 and 5 others Thank this.

Best way to be sure I have no air in the system?
Changed thermostats. Flushed with water and ran to open them to flush everything.
New ones are same number as old ones. Temp rose above previous temps at idle.
The petcock on the upper pipe had coolant at it so I don't think it had much air in it.
Just seemed to set at a higher temp than the old ones did. May just be that it was water only in there vs coolant and water.
Waiting to cool and drain to refill with mix and see what it settles at.
I'd hate to have done all this only for it to run hotter now than before.Flint1, cke, shooter19802003 and 6 others Thank this. -
(1). Engine mounts have it leaning to the right.
(2). Power steering pump is a Ford style.
Ford always seemed to lean the big engines to the passenger side....Flint1, cke, shooter19802003 and 12 others Thank this. -
Friend sent me this pic. He said that the trailer had this hydraulic arm setup to take the boat off and on. -
They tilt. When it's time to launch the boat is laid back down normally. Keeps em from having to run as oversize by laying them on their side.
