Most of the corn grown around here is sold to the elevators and shipped out by rail or hauled to an ethanol plant. Some corn is used for feed at feedlots.

Field corn is left to dry on the stalk and hard as a brick, you want sweet corn for roasting. -

Very proud. Every time you post a pic of that unit gives me a knot in my side for one. I know in my area it won't do me any good, but that don't keep me from wantin ta look cool doin it

I forgot to mention that I met my very first TTR member for the first time last weekend, well former member I guess, DDlighttruck. He was up in our area with a load going to Canada and was nice to stop by.
He was a very nice gentleman. We visited for a couple hours and I was happy to show him our farm operation.
I know I'm up in the middle of nowhere and don't get off the farm much but I would love to meet you other guys too someday. I might just have to go on a road trip this winter and find some of you.
