Sorry, haven’t been around for quite some time. Been real busy running around the country. I first checked in with y’all about 4 or 5 years ago when I thought I might want to do something really crazy like drive a truck. I found lots of answers for all my questions here. I jumped in and found trucking to be pretty much as y’all described.

As of a month or so ago I joined the O/O ranks and now driving a truck has become a whole new experience again.

At a little podunk Pilot in Palm Springs, CA tonight. On the backhaul from Rancho Cucamonga, I’ve got half my deck loaded with a household goods shipment. I could have picked up the other half early this afternoon in 29 Palms but I’m gonna have to slow down somewhere over the next three days before I turn into a pumpkin. ……And it was 107 degrees here today. Uhm, no, I ain’t tarping in that heat. Time to make today a short day. I’ll see them at 0700 tomorrow.

 

It was a little hazy Monday when we went through there westbound, today it was pretty clear.

 

LOL yeah, yesterday was a little rough, so she got to go to a sit down breakfast today.

 

I can't believe you actually found a spot there, at any time of day.

 

Is that a gleaner with a deere auger? For whatever reason, you don't see very many gleaners around and they are usually a bargain on the used market.

 

I'm the same way, I usually am never at a truck stop. I usually shower, fuel and get away as fast as possible. With the Holliday week it has really screwed things up for me. I'm not going home now. Literally every load has fallen through. So after 8 hours of calling on loads, gave up and going east. Sucks. I would have really liked to have met you and sat down for a meal. Never know, there is always a next time.
