Watching Truck Tech on Youtube. They're taking a '74 F100 that was restored to dang near factory mint and making it a monster. So far they've done a 3 and 4 lowering kit with sway bars and new I-beams for a suspension upgrade. Next they re-geared from an open 3.00 rear to a 3.89 with a Trutrac. Next step is upgrading the 351 Windsor.
I picked a wrong career lol.cke, jamespmack, BigBob410 and 5 others Thank this. -

A guy, literally a block away, had a "clone" with a 350 in it. Not in terrible condition. It was lowered. Not a huge deal, can always bring it back to stock height. Then I saw the frame was c-notched. PASS.
I don't mind a slight lowering on a truck. Maybe an inch all around. Still has to have the rake though. I don't like the leveled look.cke, jamespmack, BigBob410 and 5 others Thank this. -

I wouldn't be scared of a c notch if it was done right.
I'll lower my 72 C10 some when I do it but I like a little rake left in them.
