Love stopping at the DQ, but those craters are visible from space..

 

Check your local hvac supply store. This stuff is supposed to have a delay on the foam letting it seep deeper. Cost me 32 bucks for the gallon. Mixes at a 1:3

I was in fact at the Star dealer.

it was only discovered because the oil pans on the DD16s are plastic and prone to breaking. They were cleaning out the old pan for warranty purposes ….

this is going to be very bad - now they have to tow it to a location that does major engine work and tear the thing down. What sucks is - I was just headed back to work after 3 weeks off - drive from AZ to TX to get back to the truck. They are telling me a week before they can even start the tear down to diagnose.

I have pulled every alarm and string to try and get them to start sooner - we will see. I am not likely to make any new friends over this thing especially service managers

no I have never tried any after market products - trying to keep the warranty claims as straight forward as possible.

I guy that leased on a bought a used one - and the dealer messed up do main bearings and had to buy a new 3/4 engine for it.

I have had great luck with my DD16s - this is my third in a row. Never had one go down except for a few sensors here or there. This is the first time any of my trucks has ever been on a hook.

they tell look on the bright side - I wasn’t loaded and stuck on the shoulder at 200k.

 

I do know why this happened - I committed to helping a friend out and taking a load from KS to MD. The truck committed suicide just think about going through Ohio West Virginia (sorry @OLDSKOOLERnWV ) Pennsylvania and Maryland…

I thought it was automotive by pan. Didn't know DD's started using plastic.
