Yes we definitely did do it to ourselves but what is even worse is how we built them up to the industrial and military powerhouse that they are now.

I stopped looking for Rotella a few months ago when I couldn’t find any at Walmart which is the cheapest place to buy in gallon,2.5 gallon, and 5 gallon. All they seem to stock is Delvac and SuperTech.Delo is another one that I can’t find. The next cheapest in my area is a drum of Phillips 66 conventional at $600 plus which isn’t too bad.

Not sure I totally agree with that; however, consumer sentiment did play a small part, still does. Manufacturing was sent over there though due mostly to corporate greed. Started in earnest during slick willies term, even though he was initially against it. The little Texan with the big ears, at the time, tried to warn us about "the big sucking sound" , most wouldn't listen. Started in the 50's? Naw, even well into the '80s, manufacturing jobs that paid ok, along with full health benefits were still plentiful.

I grew up in the 60's, 2 income households existed, yes, but were not the norm, husband worked, wife stayed home, raised kids, and kept house. It was in the early 70's with the women's lib movement, along with the anti-war movement, and Roe that peoples outlook really started changing in that aspect.

About as close as I've seen it this bad, was back in the early 70's with the fake oil shortage and odd & even plate days. Lines were miles long in some places waiting to fuel. The way things are headed, we might see that again..

My wife's sister-in-laws mom went for a walk last night and never returned.

She's 81 and has dementia. We had rain all last night. They been looking for her ever since she went missing but no luck so far.....

The 12.7L or 14L Detroits before 2002 were my favorite after 1994.
From 1986 to 1994 I was a died in the wool Cat man.
    Cummins from 1970.
Before 2002 or so Detroits were available in most or all makes
