That's pretty close to a true statement.
My precall to that consignee I had to explain to them what they were getting, where it came from, who made it, that they would need a forklift...
Of course when I got there yesterday morning nobody was around, spent the first 30 minutes calling three different POCs till someone finally answered the phone.jamespmack, Flint1, Nostalgic and 11 others Thank this. -
I been trying lol. Just been staying busy with my lowboy so not as much getting done as I’d like. It would be a good lowboy tractor for some of the places I go with little room and tight curves.
Guy is wanting me to look at this truck since he lost interest in it, would like to save it but don’t really need it. It’s right close to my Dads place actually….dwells40, jamespmack, Flint1 and 15 others Thank this. -
Those old generals were cool. All except for that GM Detoit.....ugh. is that the turbo and supercharged model or just turbo.....I can't tell from the pic. Had one that was both and it was a dog. All things considered, the truck looks to be in really good condition. You can never have too many projects.

Edit: it's funny how much the interior looks exactly like their passenger cars/trucks do. I'm pretty sure you could swap some parts there.......lol.singlescrewshaker, cke, jamespmack and 8 others Thank this. -
They never made a 2 stroke Detroit without a Supercharger, that’s how they get their air…. No intake valves at all.
Yes it has a turbo, it’s a 8V92T, and shows that engine on the line sheet in the cab. It was a nice truck for sure at one time.
Owner said the only reason he quit using it was because it slobbered setting around idling on the state jobs he does.
One of the problems with 2 strokes, is not many knew how to use tools such as a go / no go gauge. They can be made to really get with it, but many were factory slugs set at lower hp ratings…..singlescrewshaker, cke, dwells40 and 12 others Thank this. -
Ho hum! He's gettin the sledgehammer.singlescrewshaker, Eldiablo, cke and 10 others Thank this.
